The first-day-screening event of new movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi" was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on 28 October which was attended by the director Shiraishi Kazuya and cast members Aoi Yu, Abe Sadao, Matsuzaka Toori and Takenouchi Yutaka. The movie which is based on the popular mystery novel by Numata Mahokaru, depicts how a self-centred woman Towako (Aoi) is still pining for her ex-boyfriend Kurosaki (Takenouchi) even after breaking up with him 8 years ago and has the tendency to complain about everything. While wallowing in self-pity, she has an affair with a married man Mizushima Shin (Matsuzaka) and also lives together with a man Jinji (Abe) who is 15 years older than her but is penniless and has no achievements to speak of. One day, when Towako comes to know that Kurosaki has disappeared, this marks a drastic change in her life.
Aoi reflected on the filming and said that it was as if she was shooting three movies at the same time since her character Towako behaves differently towards the three men in her life. For example, whenever she had scenes with Abe, it was always in dirty places while with Matsuzaka, they were always in beautiful places with lots of bright lights. On the other hand, the scenes with Takenouchi were always in fantasical and dreamy places like a white house or at the beach. In response to this comment, Abe poked fun at himself that he didn't know that Aoi got to go to such places with the other two actors while the two of them were always together in filthy places. He added that he didn't feel that out of place in those places though since he used to be a truck driver who didn't pay attention to his appearance before he became an actor. Abe proclaimed proudly that someone like him can now become the lead of a movie all thanks to him becoming an actor so he wanted to show people who were like him in the past that they can turn their fates around someday.
Takenouchi whose character was described as an incorrigible scumbag by the director, commented that he had never played such a character before and wondered why the director approached him for this role. Nonetheless, he was glad to be able to act in the director's movie and felt that this experience will serve him well in future. Matsuzaka also echoed his view and revealed that his character became so detestable in the second half of the movie so he hoped that he was able to show the gap between the two sides of his character.
