Tokkan gets 12.9% for its first episode

The first episode of Inoue Mao's summer drama "Tokkan" shown on 4 July scored a rating of 12.9% in the Kanto region. The drama is based on a novel by Takadono Madoka and features Inoue as Suzumiya Miki, a newbie collections officer at the National Tax Agency. Co-stars include Kitamura Yukiya, Suzuki Sawa and Kinami Haruka.

Mr. Children to sing theme song for "Tokkan Tokubetsu Kokuzei Choushuukan"

Mr. Children who celebrates their 20th anniversary this year, will be singing the theme song for Inoue Mao's summer drama on NTV "Tokkan Tokubetsu Kokuzei Choushuukan" as announced on 7 June. The title of the song and the release date have not been confirmed yet. It has been six years since the band sang a theme song for a NTV drama in the same timeslot. Their last theme song was "Shirushi" for the 2006 drama "14-sai no Haha" starring Shida Mirai.
It was also announced that Kitamura Yukiya will play Inoue's direct boss in the drama while Suzuki Sawa will play the chief in the department.

Inoue Mao starring in summer drama "Tokkan Tokubetsu Kokuzei Choushuukan"

Inoue Mao will be starring in the NTV summer drama "Tokkan Tokubetsu Kokuzei Choushuukan" due to be shown from July in the Wednesdays 10pm timeslot. The story is based on a novel with the same title. Inoue plays a tax officer Suzumiya Miki who becomes a civil servant due to some family issues and is in charge of chasing after people who deliberately default on their tax payments.
