"Last Cinderella" grabs top spot in Internet viewing ranking for spring 2013 dramas
Japan Brand Strategy released the results of the top 15 spring 2013 dramas which had the most page views and downloads from their respective TV stations' websites between 1 April and 9 June:
1) Last Cinderella (FujiTV) / 766,000 unique viewers / 9.987 million page views
2) Galileo (FujiTV) / 529,000 unique viewers / 3.989 million page views
3) Sora tobu Kouhoushitsu (TBS) / 461,000 unique viewers / 9.898 million page views
4) Kazoku Game (FujiTV) / 460,000 unique viewers / 3.605 million page views
5) Kumo no Kaidan (NTV) / 407,000 unique viewers / 3.95 million page views
6) 35-sai no Koukousei (NTV) / 333,000 unique viewers / 3.199 million page views
7) TAKE FIVE (TBS) / 264,000 unique viewers / 2.26 million page views
8) Kasukana Kanojo (FujiTV) / 218,000 unique viewers / 1.772 million page views
9) Kamo, Kyoto e Iku (FujiTV) / 185,000 unique viewers / 1.249 million page views
10) Oteni Oneesan (TV Asahi) / 165,000 unique viewers / 807,000 page views
11) Sennyuu Tantei Tokage (TBS) / 157,000 unique viewers / 1.278 million page views
12) Doubles ~ Futari no Keiji (TV Asahi) / 133,000 unique viewers / 507,000 page views
13) Iryu Sousa (TV Asahi) / 77,000 unique viewers / 383,000 page views
14) Kakusho ~ Keishicho Sousa Sanka (TBS) / 72,000 unique viewers / 477,000 page views
15) Keiji 110kg (TV Asahi) / 60,000 unique viewers / 266,000 page views
Looking at what we have here, it seems like Last Cinderella has a very strong following and these viewers don't actually watch the drama during the first broadcast but rather choose to download it to view at their own free time. In the TV ratings world, Galileo reigns supreme but interest in the drama seems to be low because it only had 3 million plus of page views compared to No.1 and No.3 which have about 9 million. These results seem to show that what's popular on TV may not be what netizens prefer to watch. What comments do you have about these results?

An appears in "Kasukana Kanojo" costume at first pitch ceremony
An attended the first pitch ceremony held before the baseball match between Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants at Koshien on 9 April while wearing her white "ghost" costume featured in the FujiTV drama "Kasukana Kanojo". An admitted that she's a Giants fan but since her zodiac sign is tiger and her father Watanabe Ken is a Hanshin fan, she also pays attention to the Hanshin matches.

Production press conference of "Kasukana Kanojo"
The production press conference of FujiTV spring 2013 drama "Kasukana Kanojo" was held on 7 April which was attended by cast members including Katori Shingo, An, Maeda Atsuko and Maya Miki. The drama is scheduled to begin its run from 9 April at 10pm on Tuesdays (first episode from 10.10pm) and features Katori as a a junior high school teacher who loses his passion towards his work and unexpectedly works with a female ghost (An) who used to be an enthusiastic teacher to solve the problems in school.
When asked about what kind of extraordinary things have happened to him to date, Katori revealed that he had been in New York's Times Square just hours ago for the filming of his movie and almost had to arrive in Nagoya instead of Tokyo due to the poor weather conditions. After a delayed arrival, he headed straight to the venue of the press conference so he commented that it was tough but something he was used to as a SMAP member. As for An, she said that she wears white colours in the drama so she found it a bit odd to wear something so nice at the press conference. Maeda Atsuko who left AKB48 last August, said that playing a teacher for the first time and not wearing a school uniform anymore in a drama was something she didn't expect to happen so soon and hoped to be able to wear a school uniform again.

Maeda Atsuko to play a teacher in spring drama "Kasukana Kanojo"
Former AKB48 member Maeda Atsuko will be playing a teacher in the spring drama "Kasukana Kanojo" which stars SMAP's Katori Shingo and An. This will be her first drama appearance since her graduation from AKB48 last August and her first role as a teacher. Maeda plays the role of Kawai Chiho who works in the same school as Katori's Kamiyama where he is the main homeroom teacher and she is the assistant. She is well-liked among students with a cheerful character and passion towards her work. However, that's only a pretense because Kawai actually has no interest in teaching and is looking for an opportunity to switch jobs if she has a chance. Maeda commented that she is very excited to work with Katori since she has seen his dramas since young. In addition, the timeslot of Tuesdays 10pm means a lot to her since she made her debut in this timeslot 6 years ago with the drama "Swan no Baka! ~ Kozukai Sanman yen no Koi ~" in autumn 2007.
