First-day screening event of movie "Jinrui Shikin"

The first-day screening event of new movie "Jinrui Shikin" was held on 19 October at Marunouchi Picadilly in Yurakucho which was attended by cast members Sato Koichi, Moriyama Mirai, Odagiri Jo, Katori Shingo, Mizuki Arisa and Kishibe Ittoku. As the filming of the movie was done in 4 countries and the travelling distance was more than 50,000 km, Sato jokingly lamented that he should have earned all those air miles while they were travelling.

The movie is currently showing in 260 cinemas nationwide.

Wishing ceremony campaign for the movie "Jinrui Shikin"

The wishing ceremony campaign for the movie "Jinrui Shikin" was held on 17 September at Osaka Stock Exchange which was attended by Sato Koichi and Moriyama Mirai. As the movie has to do with the M-money rumoured to have been left behind by the Imperial Army after WWII, the media asked Sato if he had invested in stocks before but Sato said that he doesn't have an idea on how to build a fortune even though he thinks that people in showbiz ought to plan ahead. Besides, looking at his late father Mikuni Rentaro as an example, Sato didn't really see the need to take any concrete action in this aspect.

Completion press conference of movie "Jinrui Shikin"

The completion press conference of new movie "Jinrui Shikin" was held on 27 August which was attended by the lead actors Sato Koichi, Moriyama Mirai and Nakadai Tatsuya. The movie features Sato as a man who gets tempted by an offer of JPY 5 billion if he can locate the legendary M Shikin which was said to be a sum of JPY 10 trillion accumulated for the purpose of post-WWII restoration efforts. In actual fact, fraud scams involving M Shikin had been common in the past thus Sato said that this movie will be a well-structured piece of entertainment work for the viewers. During the press conference, there was a stage display of imitation currency notes worth JPY 5 billion and everyone was visibly happy to see such a large sum of money before them while posing with the money notes in their hands.

Sato Koichi, Katori Shingo & Moriyama Mirai in movie "Jinrui Shikin"

Sato Koichi is starring in the movie "Jinrui Shikin" (Human Capital) which is due to be shown in cinemas from October this year. The movie is based on the theme of  finding the rumoured money (nicknamed M Shikin) left behind the old Japanese army after the WWII. Sato plays a fraudster Mafune who gets hired by a mysterious man named M played by SMAP's Katori Shingo to find the money. M's trusted confidante Seki will be played by Moriyama Mirai. Other co-stars include Mizuki Arisa who plays Takato, a woman who belongs to the secret organisation within the Ministry of Defence, and Nakadai Tatsuya who plays Sasakura, the chairman of many investment consulting companies. Mizuki is the only actress in the cast.

Filming was done in Japan, Russia's Khabarovsk, Thailand's Kanchanaburi and New York. The cast and crew who went straight from Russia to Thailand to work had to endure a change in temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. As such, the director deliberately chose actors who had worked with him in the past as comrades who could understand his reasons for making such a movie. For example, Sato had worked with the director for 10 times in the past including full-length dramas and drama SPs.
