Takahashi Katsunori to return in new drama "Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi AbemaTV Original 2"

Takahashi Katsunori will be returning in the new AbemaTV drama series "Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi AbemaTV Original 2" which will be shown over 5 consecutive nights at the end of this year. The first season shown via AbemaTV online in January this year achieved 8 million views thus leading to the sequel.

Takahashi will reprise his role as Tadano who is the section chief in an advertising agency while Umemiya Tatsuo will play the chairman of the agency who gives orders to solve various problems within and outside the company. This time, the sequel's theme will be on the chairman's supposed retirement which suggests that this may be Umemiya's last appearance since he participated in the first series back in 2003 when the drama was shown on a private network. Umemiya who underwent surgery in July last year for early stage duodenum papilla cancer, made his return to work in the January series and is currently going for regular follow-up once every two months.

Co-stars include past regular cast members such as Sakurai Atsuko, Miura Rieko, Nagai Masaru and Tayama Ryousei.

Takahashi Katsunori to be back in new installment of "Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi" shown via AbemaTV

Takahashi Katsunori will be back in the new installment of "Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi" for the first time in five years this winter. This time, the drama will not be shown via TV Asahi but will be streamed online via AbemaTV which will allow the drama to be subjected to less stringent censorship controls and bring back the erotic scenes which were once a fixture in the story. The drama series which first started in the midnight timeslot on TV Asahi in 2003, registered an average rating of 14.35% in its third season in 2007.

AbemaTV is a joint venture between TV Asahi and CyberAgent which was established on 11 April this year and achieved 8 million downloads in just 5 months. This will be the first drama produced by AbemaTV and the title will be "Tokumei Kakaricho Tadano Hitoshi AbemaTV Original". The staff will be the same as per before with regulars in the cast such as Nagai Masaru appearing in the new series as well.
