First-day screening event of movie "Kiyoku Yawaku"

The first-day screening event of movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" was held at TOHO Cinemas Shibuya on 26 October which was attended by cast members Nagasawa Masami, Okada Masaki, Koura Kengo, Haru, Nakamura Aoi and the director Shinjou Takehiko. The movie which is now showing at 266 cinemas nationwide, features Nagasawa as the heroine Kanna who loses her childhood friend Haruta (Koura) through a traffic accident when she was in the first year of senior high school and is unable to fall in love with anyone until she meets Akazawa Roku (Okada) who has a similar painful past like Kanna. As the event coincided with Halloween, marshmallows were given out by the cast to the audience.

Completion screening of movie "Kiyoku Yawaku"

The completion screening of movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" was held in Tokyo on 18 September which was attended by its leads Nagasawa Masami and Okada Masaki as well as Koura Kengo, Haru, Nakamura Aoi and a 1,100-strong audience. The movie is scheduled to be shown in cinemas from 26 October and is based on the popular manga by Ikuemi Aya. When asked about if they had experience of being unable to convey their feelings, Nagasawa revealed that when she first entered showbiz, she had to greet the people in her agency but just couldn't do it properly as she was too nervous and she even burst out crying. On the other hand, Okada said that he had been secretly in love with someone for 4 years since he was in primary 1 but he didn't tell her about it even though he had to move house and transfer to another school.

Limited release of 10,000 CDs for "Kiyoku Yawaku" theme song "Kagerou"

"Kagerou", the theme song of new movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" which is sung by Saito Kazuyoshi, will be distributed through a limited CD release of 10,000 copies on 16 October. The movie starring Nagasawa Masami and Okada Masaki will be shown in cinemas from 26 October. The CD jacket drawn by the original's manga artist Ikuemi Aya, will feature Saito Kazuyoshi lying on the sofa with a cat.

"Kagerou" will be Saito's 43rd single release and it will be sold at 680 yen each. In addition, there will be pictures of Saito drawn by Ikuemi that will be included in the package. Pre-orders begin from 19 August.

Saito Kazuyoshi to sing theme song for movie "Kiyoku Yawaku"

Saito Kazuyoshi will be singing the theme song for movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" which features Nagasawa Masami and Okada Masaki and is due to be shown in Japan from 26 October. The song titled "Kagerou" was specially written for the movie. Nagasawa plays the role of Kanna who lost her childhood friend Haruta (Koura Kengo) due to a traffic accident during the summer of her first year in senior high school and finds herself unable to move on from the blow until she meets Riku (Okada) who had a similar experience in the past and they start to get closer.

Saito who made his major debut in 1993, achieved a breakthrough in his career when his song "Yasashiku Naritai" was used as the theme song of popular drama "Kaseifu no Mita". Upon receiving the invitation to sing the theme song for this movie, Saito read the entire manga which was a first time time for him since he never read shoujo manga before. He was touched by the depth of the story and how people recover from the loss of important things in their lives so he hope that the song can convey the message in the story. The CD release date of the song is undecided as yet but will be available for download via Chaku Uta and iTunes from 3 August. It will also be available for viewing via Toho's YouTube channel.

Koura Kengo to appear in movie "Kiyoku Yawaku"

Koura Kengo will appear in the movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" starring Nagasawa Masami and Okada Masaki as a 15-year-old senior high school student. The movie which is due to be shown from 26 October, is based on the shoujo manga by Ikuemi Ryou which features Nagasawa and Okada as Seto Kanna and Akazawa Roku who fall in love while bearing the scars of a tragic past. Koura's role is Haruta Kazue, a childhood friend of Kanna who passed away due to a traffic accident when he was 15 and on his way to meet Kanna. As a result of Haruta's death, it affected Kanna in a big way.

Koura has two movies "Yokomichi Younosuke" and "Sennen no Yuuraku" which are currently showing in cinemas with two other movies "Kenchou Omotenashika" due to be shown in May and "Bushi no Kondate" in December. This time, he has to play someone 10 years younger than his actual age so Koura commented that he was eagerly expecting to say lines which he would never say at his current age in order to portray the feeling of being in love through the movie.

Nagasawa Masami & Okada Masaki to team up in movie version of "Kiyoku Yawaku"

Nagasawa Masami and Okada Masaki will be co-starring in the romance movie "Kiyoku Yawaku" based on the popular shoujo manga by Ikuemi Ryo which is due to be shown next autumn. The manga which has been released in 13 volumes, achieved sales of 2.5 million copies to date. Filming is due to start in February next year and both Nagasawa and Okada will play the high school versions of their characters as well while wearing school uniforms.

Nagasawa plays Seto Kanna whose childhood friend Haruta passed away due to an accident when she was in the first year of senior high school. After graduating from university, she works in a movie company and happens to meet Akazawa Roku (Okada) who works in a publishing company. Although Roku looks like a cheerful guy, he has a similar experience like Kanna because he is the sole survivor of an accident during his primary school days that caused the death of his childhood buddy. The two of them gradually fall in love while coping with their past traumas.
