Takenouchi Yutaka to play a gangster for the first time in new movie "Korou no Chi"

Takenouchi Yutaka will be playing a gangster for the first time in the new movie "Korou no Chi" starring Yakusho Koji which will be shown in cinemas from 12 May 2018. The movie is based on the same-titled novel by Yuzuki Yuko that had won the 69th Nihon Suiri Sakka Kyoukai Sho and is set during the Showa era before the anti-gang laws were enacted. Yakusho plays a police detective Ogami Shogo who is rumoured to be on good terms with gangsters while Matsuzaka Toori plays a newbie detective Hioka Shuichi who is assigned to work with him on a case about the disappearance of an employee in a finance company rumoured to be a gang affiliate. While having reservations about Ogami's way of investigation which is bordering on being illegal, Hioka learns many things from Ogami. As the investigation develops, it results in a battle between gang members which causes Ogami to take drastic measures to resolve the situation. Maki Youko will play Takagi, the mamasan of a club named Riko while Ishibashi Renji plays Isogo Shohei, the leader of Isogo-kai and Eguchi Yosuke plays Ichinose, the young leader of Otani-gumi. Other co-stars include Takito Kenichi, Suruga Taro and Yajima Kenichi, Taguchi Tomorowo, Nakamura Shido, Pierre Taki, Otoo Takuma and Nakamura Tomoya.

Takenouchi plays the role Nozaki Kousuke who is the young leader of Kakomura-gumi, the rival group of Otani-gumi. He is known for his flashy outfits, permed hair and speaking in the Kure dialect which makes him a presence hard to ignore. Takenouchi revealed that soon after he finished the movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi" which was also directed by Shiraishi Kazuya, he was approached to take part in this movie. Without reading the script, Takenouchi agreed to the offer. He was surprised by how good the story was after reading the script and became convinced that the movie will be a good one. Especially since he had been playing mostly good people or elites in his career, he is glad to be given a new challenge in this movie. As for speaking in dialects, Takenouchi revealed that he had roles which needed him to speak in dialects before but the Kure dialect is known for being extremely difficult due to its intonation which if not spoken properly, would sound like the Kansai dialect. As such, he had fun checking with the staff members who are natives of Kure on how he should speak the lines. With regard to his clothing in the movie, he admitted that it was beyond his imagination and extremely flashy. Initially, there was an idea of shaving his head for the role but to fit his character's flashy clothes, it was decided that permed hair would be more suitable.

Takenouchi Yutaka & Matsuzaka Toori to appear in new movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi"

Takenouchi Yutaka and Matsuzaka Toori will be appearing in the new movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi" starring Aoi Yu and Abe Sadao which is directed by Shiraishi Kazuya. The movie which is based on the popular mystery novel by Numata Mahokaru, depicts how a self-centred woman Towako (Aoi) is still pining for her ex-boyfriend Kurosaki even after breaking up with him 8 years ago and has the tendency to complain about everything. While wallowing in self-pity, she lives together with a man Jinji (Abe) who is 15 years older than her but is penniless and has no achievements to speak of. One day, when Towako comes to know that Kurosaki has disappeared, this marks a drastic change in her life.

Takenouchi plays the role of Kurosaki who treated Towako very badly when they parted ways and uses the women around him as pawns for his survival and progress in life. With regard to his character, Takenouchi commented that he finds it difficult to identify with such a hopeless person but after discussing with the director during their first meeting, he decided to take on the challenge of making such a lousy man appear interesting in the movie.

On the other hand, Matsuzaka plays the role of Mizushima Shin who works as the sales supervisor in the watches section of a high-class departmental store and is involved in an extramarital affair with Towako. Although he looks like a honest guy on the surface, he is willing to do anything to satisfy his sexual desire. Matsuzaka revealed that this is the first time that he will be appearing in a bed scene so he's very honoured that he will be doing it with Aoi who he is collaborating with for the first time as well.

Co-stars also include Murakawa Eri, Akahori Masaaki, Akazawa Muck and Nakajima Shuu. The movie will be shown in cinemas from October this year.

Aoi Yu & Abe Sadao to star in new movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi"

Aoi Yu and Abe Sadao will be starring in the new movie "Kanojo ga sono na wo shiranai toritachi" (She is one of the birds with an unknown name) based on the popular mystery novel by Numata Mahokaru which will be directed by Shiraishi Kazuya. The story depicts how a self-centred woman Towako (Aoi) is still pining for her ex-boyfriend Kurosaki even after breaking up with him 8 years ago and has the tendency to complain about everything. While wallowing in self-pity, she lives together with a man Jinji (Abe) who is 15 years older than her but is penniless and has no achievements to speak of. One day, when Towako comes to know that Kurosaki has disappeared, this marks a drastic change in her life.

Aoi commented that she finds it difficult to identify with Towako who relies on Jinji to survive but pines for another man deep within. Towako can't seem to give up on things and do something about her life. Despite so, she feels that Towako will be a good test on the viewers themselves to see how much courage they have to assess themselves and dislike their own weak points. On the other hand, Abe who plays the crude pauper Jinji, revealed that he had to try to make himself as dirty and detestable as possible so he discussed with the director how to achieve this during the filming.

The movie will be shown in cinemas this autumn.
