Kis-My-Ft2's Fujigaya Taisuke and Yamamoto Mizuki will be starring in the FujiTV drama SP "Basuke mo koi mo, shiteitai" (Want to play basketball and be in love) which will be shown over three nights at 11pm from 19 September. The drama SP describes the 7-year love story between Fujigaya who plays the role of the captain of a senior high school basketball team but is so bad at the sport that he's always a reserve player and Yamamoto who plays the heroine who always supports him. Part 1 set in 2010 talks about the last summer tournament in their senior high school days while Part 2 describes what happens during their university days two years later. The last part set in the autumn of 2016 will feature both characters 4 years from Part 2 when they are already working adults.
In contrast to his character, Fujigaya is actually a skillful basketball player who used to belong to his junior high school team. Although he can't display his basketball skills this time in his first leading role for a FujiTV drama, he pledged to work hard and even cut his hair and dyed it black for the first time in several years.
On the other hand, Yamamoto who used to be from a all-girls school, said that it was lucky that she could experience how it was like being in a co-ed school through this drama. As for her impression of her co-star who she is working with for the first time, she praised him for being mature and expressed joy at being able to work with someone about her age. However, she felt embarrassed about having to play a senior high school girl at her current age of 25 and wondered if she still could look convincing in a school uniform. In response, Fujigaya praised her for looking good in the school uniform.
