The completion screening event of new movie "Yamikin Ushijima-kun Part 3" was held on 7 September which was attended by the director Yamaguchi Masatoshi and cast members Yamada Takayuki, Ayano Go, Hongo Kanata, Nogizaka 46's Shiraishi Mai, Kakei Miwako, Tenpagumi.inc's Mogami Moga, Hamano Kenta, Takahashi Maryjun, Sakimoto Hiromi and Yabe Kyousuke. This movie will be shown in cinemas from 22 September followed by the sequel "Yamikin Ushijima-kun Final" to be shown from 22 October. The idea to have the movies released consecutively within a month was said to be from Yamada who wanted to promote the movies in an elaborate manner and maintain the momentum. However, Ayano said that Yamada probably didn't want a gap between the release dates because it was troublesome to recreate the image of Ushijima-kun to which the latter admitted readily.
Yamada commented that it has been six years since the Ushijima-kun series began as a late-night drama on TV and he thinks that people won't get sick of this since there are many actors appearing in the movies. As such, he called upon the public to support the Part 3 and final movies.
