The first-day-screening event of new movie "Nakimushi Piero no Kekkonshiki" was held at Cinema Shinjuku on 24 September which was attended by the director Minorikawa Osamu, cast members Shida Mirai, Ryusei Ryo and Araki Yuko as well as WHITE JAM who performed the movie's theme song "Sakanaide ~ Nakimushi Piero no Kekkonshiki Ver.~" live. The movie which is based on the non-fiction story by Mochizuki Miyuki, features Shida as a clown apprentice named Kanami who meets a guy named Yosuke (Ryusei) who has forgotten what it means to smile since he has kidney disease. The two begin a romantic relationship but just as they are about to get married, Kanami finds out that Yosuke only has days to live.
When asked about which scene in the movie she likes the most, Shida recounted that there was a scene where Ryusei had carried her on his back and she felt safe and secure as if her father was carrying her because Ryusei has really broad shoulders. In response, Ryusei commented that he wasn't sure if he should be happy about the compliment which likened him to a father. Shida also commented after the screening that the movie made her feel warm at heart and hopes that it will bring the same positive vibe to all those who watch it. As the film was shot in August last year, Shida and Ryusei both said that it had taken quite a long time for the movie to be finally screened so they were extremely relieved and happy about it.
