Suda Masaki will be appearing in the upcoming NTV Autumn 2016 drama "Jimi ni sugoi! Kouetsu Girl Kouno Etsuko" which will begin its run from October in the Wednesdays 10pm timeslot. He plays the role of Orihara Yukito, a mysterious university student who the heroine Kouno Etsuko played by Ishihara Satomi falls in love with at first sight. In actual fact, Yukito is a writer whose novel is being proofread by Etsuko and he's been scouted as a model because of his looks. When asked to describe his character, Suda said that Yukito is someone who has nothing to be unhappy or happy about in his life and may come across as being not serious about anything.
Ishihara and Suda first worked together in the stage play "Romeo & Juliet" when he was still a teenager so they were somewhat like siblings at that time. Suda praised his co-star for being a very cheerful and charming person who attracts people around her. Last time, he depended a lot on her so this time round, he hopes to be able to support her as much as possible as a potential love interest in the drama. With regard to the theme of proofreading being a plain but impressive work to do, Suda revealed that he likes to make things quietly too and said that acting is also a somewhat lonely task since their work is a build-up of many things as well. Nonetheless, he thinks that regardless the kind of job one does, there is an element of plain hard work which allows the occupation to shine in the end. As this kind of theme is rarely featured in dramas, he thinks that this drama will be a very interesting one to viewers.
