The first-day-screening event of new movie "Dias Police - DIRTY YELLOW BOYS -" was held on 3 September at Shinjuku Wald 9 which was attended by the director Kumakiri Kazuyoshi and the cast Matsuda Shota and Hamano Kenta. The Dias Police series based on the manga by Sugimura Shinichi and Richard Woo, began with a TBS drama shown in spring this year and features Matsuda and Hamano as buddies. Although this is the first time which the two actors worked together, they revealed that they had become good friends during the filming. Hamano admitted that he was worried about working with Matsuda at first since there is a significant height difference between them and the latter might find fault with him. In response, Matsuda said that he didn't realise that Hamano felt that way and praised his co-star for his natural acting and being an interesting guy to work with. To show that they are indeed on good terms, Matsuda made a surprise suggestion that they should go on a trip to Okinawa together before the summer ends.
This movie is scheduled to be the opening film for the Kaohsiung Movie Festival taking place in Taiwan from 21 October.
