Nakamura Shido announces the arrival of his son

Nakamura Shido announced the birth of his son on 18 December through his agency and his Instagram account. The baby was born at 3.30pm and weighed 2,736 grams at birth. Nakamura mentioned in his statement that his son was born on the following day after his mother's death anniversary which made him and his wife feel that this seemed like destiny. Nakamura reflected that 2017 would be an unforgettable year for him due to various reasons especially since he was diagnosed with cancer in May and his wife gave birth to their son in Dec. He pledged to continue working hard and called upon everyone to support him.

Nakamura got married to his wife who is 11 years younger than him on 31 January 2015. He has another son with Takeuchi Yuko who he married in 2005 and divorced in 2008.
