GReeeeN will be singing the theme song for FujiTV Autumn 2016 drama "Career ~ Okiteyaburi no Keisatsu Shochou ~" starring Tamaki Hiroshi which will begin its run from 9 October in the Sundays 9pm timeslot. The song titled "Akatsuki no kimi ni" will be released in December and this is the second season in a row that GReeeeN is singing a drama's theme song after their song "beautiful days" was used as the theme for NTV's Summer 2016 drama "Ie uru Onna".
The producer Nagai Reiko revealed that the reason why they approached GReeeeN to sing the theme song was to convey the frank and hidden feelings of Toyama Kinshiro (Tamaki). In each episode's climax scene where the song will be played, viewers can see the link between the lyrics and the story so Nagai hopes that the song will make the drama even more appealing to the viewers. GReeeeN commented that the theme of the song is to show that no matter what kind of troubles and darkness you encounter, there will definitely be the arrival of dawn every day so this is in sync with how Toyama gets to the bottom of things and solves the cases in this drama.
