V6's Morita Go and Miyazawa Rie announced their marriage on 16 March through a joint statement released by his agency Johnny's Jimusho. In the statement, the couple pledged to support each other as family members and will strive hard together to improve as performers. They also asked for everyone's continued support going forward. According to Miyazawa's agency, she is not pregnant at the moment and will continue with her career as an actress.
Morita sent a letter with his signature to the V6 fanclub members where he announced his marriage. This led to some fans who had received this first to break the news online and media outlets reporting on this before all fans received the letter and the release of the official statement. In his letter, Morita thanked the fans for their support all this while and hoped that they will continue to do so as he works even harder in future. However, he did not mention Miyazawa's name in the letter.
Morita and Miyazawa first worked together in the stage play "Biniiru no Shiro" in August 2016 and were reported to have gone on a holiday to Okinawa and golfing dates as early as in October the same year. At that time, Miyazawa's agency declined comment about the dating rumours while Morita's agency said that they would leave things to Morita since this was his private matter. Miyazawa was previously married to an entrepreneur cum pro surfer from April 2009 to March 2016 and had given birth to a girl. When Morita was reported to have moved to a place near to Miyazawa's in August last year and she quit from the stage play "Hedda Gabler" due to be performed in April, this sparked rumours that they would be getting married soon.
With Morita's marriage, 4 of V6's members are married and their wives all happen to be actresses. Inohara Yoshihiko got married to Seto Asaka in 2007, Nagano Hiroshi with Shiraishi Miho in 2016 and Okada Junichi with Miyazaki Aoi last year.
