Nomura Mansai and Ooizumi Yo will be starring in Mitani Koki's drama adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd". The drama SP titled" Kuroidogoroshi" (The Murder of Kuroido) will be shown via FujiTV in April 2018 and marks the second Christie adaptation by Mitani since 2015's "Oriental Kyuukou Satsujin Jiken". This time, Nomura will be back to reprise his role as the detective Suguro Takeru while his partner will be Ooizumi who plays the doctor Shiba Heisuke.
The story is set in the year 1952 where a woman Karatsu Sanako (Yoshida Yo) living in a rural village was framed for killing her husband and died later in strange circumstances. Coincidentally, the tycoon Kuroido Rokusuke (Endo Kenichi) who had proposed to Sanako, was also murdered. Suguro and Shiba will have to find the killer among a pool of 10 suspects. Co-stars include Mukai Osamu, Saito Yuki, Matsuoka Mayu, Fujii Takashi, Yo Kimiko, Kusakari Tamiyo, Sato Jiro, Wada Masato, Terawaki Yasufumi, Asano Kazuyuki, Akimoto Sayaka and Imai Tomohiko.
