TOKIO's Matsuoka Masahiro will be back in the TV Asahi Spring 2018 drama "Kaseifu no Mitazono 2" which will begin its run from April 2018 in the Fridays 11.15pm timeslot. The first series was shown in autumn 2016 where Matsuoka played the perfect housekeeper Mitazono Kaoru who dressed as a women and spied on the families "she" worked at, exposed their secrets and led to the destruction of these households. In this sequel which takes place one and a half years after the end of the first drama, Mitazono who had gone missing, reappears suddenly and will continue to expose the secrets of "her" clients and showcase useful household chore tips as the secret behind "her" absence is revealed. He will continue to appear in women's clothes throughout most of the new series again.
Matsuoka commented jokingly that he could not help but say "welcome back" when he saw himself in the mirror after transforming into Mitazono again. He was glad to be able to play this character again which he spent a lot of effort preparing and revealed that the response to the first series exceeded his expectations. For example, his juniors at Johnny's Jimusho, his fellow actors, drinking pals, relatives and strangers on the street were calling him "Mitazono-san" rather than by his surname which was a first for him in his acting career to date. As such, this made him realise the reach and impact of TV dramas as he savoured the joy of his efforts having paid off. The director even joked that he was going to make Matsuoka wear a cheongsam or nurse uniform or kimono this time which the latter believed that would most likely happen.
The supporting cast of this drama will be revealed at a later date. Shimizu Fumika who had quit being an actress last February, was in the cast of the first series as Mitazono's colleague.
