Supporting cast announcements for two new TV Asahi Agatha Christie drama SPs starring Amami Yuki & Sawamura Ikki

The supporting cast for the two new TV Asahi Agatha Christie drama SPs starring Amami Yuki and Sawamura Ikki had been announced. The first SP titled "Paddington hatsu 4 ji 50 pun ~ Shindai tokkyuu satsujin jiken ~" which will be shown at 9pm on 24 March, stars Amami as Amano Touko, a crisis management professional who used to be a police detective. This character is modeled after Miss Marple in the original novel so Amami will be the Japanese version of Miss Marple who solves a murder case on a moving train where the corpse disappears. Sawamura who stars in the second part titled "Daijoyuu Satsujin Jiken ~ Kagami wa yoko ni hibi warete ~" showing at the same time on 25 March, plays a police detective Shoukokuji Ryuuya from the first section of Metropolitan Police Department. He is tasked to investigate the murder case of a woman which takes place at a grand party held by a famous actress but faces the hurdle of finding the true culprit among the large pool of suspects.


Kusabue Mitsuko plays Suzume, Touko's mother-in-law who happens to witness the strangling of a woman by a man from a moving train's window thus leading to the start of the investigation. Maeda Atsuko plays Nakamura Aya who is a capable housekeeper ordered by Touko to infiltrate the mansion where the corpse was supposedly thrown into. Hara Sachie plays Tomizawa Keiko, the eldest daughter of the family living at the mansion while Hashizume Isao plays the police councilor who doesn't like Touko's way of doing things. Nishida Toshiyuki plays Tomizawa Shinsuke, the autocratic chairman of a company living at the mansion. Other co-stars include Ishiguro Ken, Katsumura Masanobu, Suzuki Kosuke, Kiriyama Rena and Kurotani Tomoka.

Kuroki Hitomi will play Irodori Madoka, the famous actress who holds the party where the murder took place. Zaizen Naomi will play Asakaze Sagiri who is a rival of Madoka while Arakawa Yoshiyoshi will play Shoukokuji's partner Tatara Banpei. Kawaguchi Haruna plays Taniguchi Kosama, a young photographer who is interested in Madoka and follows her around. Tsugawa Masahiko plays Danhara Hiraomi, the president of Sagiri's agency and Furuya Ikkou will play Kaidou Akira who is Madoka's husband and a movie director. Other co-stars include Yashima Norito, Nakahara Takeo, Mizusawa Erena and Hiraiwa Kami.
