In terms of the overall top 10 bestselling movies ranking, only the top 2 movies in this list made it to be ranked at No.3 and No.7 respectively. This seems to show that the Japanese box office is still pretty much dominated by Hollywood films and there is a considerable gap to overcome with the No.1 film "Beauty and the Beast" chalking up takings almost double of what the Conan movie got i.e. JPY 12.5bn vs. JPY 6.87bn.
