Nanao who has played many bad women roles to date, said that she welcomed the challenge of playing a dark heroine this time and was very thankful for the chance to do so. She also expressed her thought that she probably shines most in a bad woman role so she pledged to use her experience acquired so far in this field and make her character someone which will inspire fear in everyone. As for how she would describe Mako, Nanao said that Mako is a mysterious woman who resorts to extreme measures with the intention of making the company a better place and is devoted to her work. It will also be worth checking out this drama to find out who exactly Mako is as the viewers cheer her on in her pursuits.
The producer Mori Masahiro revealed that this drama was conceptualised as far back as 5 years ago and it was already decided then that Nanao would be the best person to play Mako. As such, he believed that she would be most suitable to bring the character to life.
