The first-day-screening event of new movie "Inori no maku ga orirutoki" was held at TOHO Cinemas Scala Za on 27 January which was attended by the director Fukuzawa Katsuo and cast members Abe Hiroshi, Matsushima Nanako, Mizobata Junpei, Tanaka Rena and JUJU who sings the theme song for the movie.
As it had been 8 years since the first drama in the "Shinzanmono" series began, Abe commented that to him, it felt like the series had ended nicely and he was thankful for the love showered by everyone to date and that this character Kaga Kyoichiro had been the foundation of his development to tackle other roles. In addition, the finale had Matsushima joining them in the cast lineup so he felt that this was a fantastic way of ending the series. Although he was sad about the finale, he expressed hope that the original novel's author Higashino Keigo may write another book for the series in future.
Matsushima said that she was a fan of the series before she participated in this movie so she was glad that she could contribute to the finale and hoped that Higashino will continue with the series. Meanwhile, Mizobata who had participated in the series with Abe from the start to finish, said that it was a valuable experience for him to act beside Abe and this was the first time he felt so complicated on the first-day-event of his work because he was happy to see the movie being released but sad about the series ending. He expressed his gratitude for listening to his worries and giving him advice during the important turning points of his life even when he was so busy or supposed to be resting during the filming breaks over the past 8 years. Mizobata pledged to work hard with Abe as his role model and hugged the latter with tears.
The two actresses presented flowers to Abe which led him to joke that he will quit after receiving such big bouquets of flowers. Abe said that he never expected these from his co-stars and had thought that Mizobata was lying when he said those words until he saw that he and Tanaka were both crying. Abe then said that Mizobata had been a great support in the first 20 minutes of this movie to lay the foundation for Kaga's appearance and that he had become a very reliable actor.
JUJU sang the movie's theme song "Tokyo" during the event which led Abe to say that this song touched him so much that it kept playing in his month for at least a month.
