First-day-screening event of new movie "Revenge Girl"

The first-day-screening event of new movie "Revenge Girl" was held at Marunochi Picadilly on 23 December which was attended by the director Miki Koichiro and cast members Kiritani Mirei, Suzuki Nobuyuki, Baba Fumika, Kiyohara Sho, Takeuchi Aisa and Saito Yuki. The movie is based on the novel written by Kiyo Tomohide and Yoshida Erika and features Kiritani as the lead character Takaraishi Miki who is a 24-year-old OL. She graduated as the top student from University of Tokyo and had also won the Miss Campus title thus making her appear as the "perfect" girl with brains and looks. However, her biggest flaw is her ugly personality which she doesn't realise. One day, her boyfriend who aspires to become a politician dumps her thus leading to Miki resolve to become a politician and the Prime Minister one day so as to get back at him.

Kiritani reflected that it had been a tight filming schedule for them so in a way, this became an even memorable project for her. Saito expressed her thanks for being able to work with everyone in this movie and cited Kiritani as the biggest selling point of this movie. As this is the first time that most of the cast members worked with one another, Kiritani described her impression of Suzuki as a strong guy due to his performances in movies like "HiGH & LOW" and "Tokyo Ghoul" but she was surprised to find that he had a cute side because he was so scared of the cold, bugs and heights. In response, Suzuki said that he always had the impression that Kiritani was very serious but found that she was more approachable than he though. Saito also echoed his view and said that Kiritani was very good at portraying the heroine and showed more than the latter's beauty with her acting.

The cast were also asked to choose a Kanji character to represent this movie. Suzuki chose the word "chou" which means challenge because his character had supported the heroine in her pursuit of success in the political world and that the heroine's journey in the movie was a challenge in itself. Meanwhile, Kiritani chose the word "takara" which was part of Miki's surname because everyone had worked hard for this movie which is like a treasure to all of them.
