Kuwata Keisuke will be singing the theme song for new NHK morning drama "Hiyokko" starring Arimura Kasumi which will begin its run from 3 April in the Mondays to Saturdays 8am timeslot. The song titled "Wakai Hiroba" (Young Square) is the first theme song from Kuwata for a NHK drama.
Kuwata commented that he was honoured to be given the chance to sing the theme song. Especially since the story goes back to 1964, he felt as if it was a relook back to his younger days so he included this nostalgic element along with the hopes and dreams for Japan's future in the lyrics. He hopes that viewers will enjoy listening to the song while watching the drama.
