Mimura and Chiba Yuudai will be starring in the new NHK drama "Sauce-san no Koi" (The love of Sauce-san" which will begin its run from 1 June in the Thursdays 11pm timeslot. The drama which consists of 8 episodes, features Mimura as a mysterious woman named Mika who has an unspeakable traumatic experience and would always show up at the convenience store at 8pm every night to buy a bottle of sauce. One night, she gets chased by a pervert thus the convenience store's employee Uno Masanao (Chiba) who works there part-time while attending an arts university, sends her home that night. Since then, Uno would look forward to Mika's apearance every night and gives her the nickname of Sauce-san (Miss Sauce). Gradually, he develops feelings for her and the two of them start dating soon after despite an age gap of 10 years. Just when they think that things between them would proceed smoothly, Mika suddenly recalls her painful past and the two of them are tormented by the harsh truth which causes cracks in their relationship.
With regard to playing Mika who is in love with a younger guy, Mimura commented that she had to think of an approach different from usual when acting and hopes to be able to match up to expectations by the production crew and deliver a good performance with her co-star Chiba.
Co-stars include Iwasaki Hiromi, Tochihara Rakuto, Abe Shinnosuke, Hagiwara Minori, Takeuchi Toshi, Tahara Kanako, Sugi-chan and Matsuda Satoshi.
