Shimazaki Haruka to play Tsutsumi Shinichi's daughter in NTV Winter 2017 drama "Super Salaryman Saenai-shi"

AKB48 member Shimazaki Haruka who will be graduating from the group this year, will be appearing in the upcoming NTV Winter 2017 drama "Super Salaryman Saenai-shi" which begins its run from January 2017 in the Saturdays 9pm timeslot. This will be her first appearance in a drama after her graduation.

The drama which is based on the manga "Chuunen Superman Saenai-shi" by the late Fujiko F Fujio, features Tsutsumi Shinichi in the role of Saenai, a 52-year-old ordinary salaryman who holds a middle management role in his company and has a fierce wife Enko (Koizumi Kyoko). One day, a strange old man gives Saenai a super suit which will enable him to transform into a super hero who can maintain peace. Although Saenai keeps rejecting the old man's offer, he has no choice but to accept it when Enko forces him to deliver their daughter's bento to school before her lunch break. Due to the powers of this suit, Saenai goes to solve various cases even during office hours whenever he senses something happening. Shimazaki plays the role of Haneko who is the daughter of Saenai and Enko and a senior high school student going through a rebellious phase who treats her father coldly.

Shimazaki commented that Haneko is always in a bad mood in the mornings and treats her father in such a hostile manner which reminded her of how she used to behave when she was much younger. She expressed anticipation about the impending start of the filming and can't wait to see how the drama turns out. As for being able to act in a drama right after graduating from AKB48, Shimazaki revealed that although she doesn't think that she is a good actress yet, she wants to do her best for the sake of those who gave her such an opportunity and show her gratitude even though she may still be lacking in some areas.

So Paruru is going to play a salty character? She's got that down pat. I'm wondering if AKB or Aki-P helped her get this role?

That's what her agency is for.
