Mizuno Miki, Otani Ryohei and Suzuki Osamu will be doing the audio commentary on the supplementary sound channel for the last episode of TV Asahi Winter 2017 drama "Ubai Ai, Fuyu" which will be shown on 3 March. Mizuno and Otani play a married couple in the drama while Suzuki is the scriptwriter of the drama. The trio gathered for the recording on 1 March where they talked freely about the drama as the episode progressed.
During the recording, Mizuno recounted how happy she was to know that her performance seemed to be so well-received when she heard of how primary school students mimicked the scene where she hid in the closet and pounced on her husband and his ex-girlfriend played by Kurashina Kana unexpectedly. She also revealed that it was fun to hear from Suzuki things about the drama which she didn't know before such as the once-every-5-minutes rule.
Suzuki explained that in the last episode, there will be something weird happening every 5 minutes which was said to be at the request of the drama's producers during the scenario meeting. He also praised the cast for putting in their all and used up so many calories to act in this drama which features some of the strangest things actually happening in the real world. Although it had been ages since he wrote a drama's script, this was the first time which he enjoyed the process so much.
Otani commented that although the characters in the first episode did appear to be quite clear-cut in terms of good vs. evil, the story turned the tables as it progressed so he felt that his character Shin's indecisiveness was probably the worst trait among the characters in the story. On the other hand, Ran (Mizuno) and Kouta (Miura Shohei) probably came across as being better than they appeared while Hikaru (Kurashina) may not seem as kind as she is at the end of the story.
