Production press conference of Kansai TV / FujiTV Spring 2017 drama "CRISIS Kouan Kido Sousatai Tokusouhan"

The production press conference of Kansai TV / FujiTV Spring 2017 drama "CRISIS Kouan Kido Sousatai Tokusouhan" was held on 6 April which was attended by cast members Oguri Shun, Nishijima Hidetoshi, Tanaka Tetsushi, Araki Yuko, Nomaguchi Toru and Nagatsuka Kyozo. The drama which begins its run from 11 April in the Tuesdays 9pm timeslot, features Oguri in the leading role of Inami Akira who belongs to the secret team within the police force named Kouan Kido Sousatai Tokusouhan (special investigation unit of the public security department's riot squad). The team is tasked to handle the "dirty jobs" of the country and government and consists of police officers who have unspeakable pasts and secrets which they have to struggle with while handling the critical issues facing the country on a daily basis such as terrorism, new religious groups, military spies and drug peddling organisations. Nishijima plays his colleague Tamaru Saburo who also belongs to the same team. Inami is always resorting to unthinkable measures to overcome the criminals while Tamaru is the exact opposite and the epitome of calmness. Tanaka will play the role of Yoshinaga Mitsunari who is the chief of the team and a former police detective at Metropolitan Police Department's 1st section. Nomaguchi plays the role of Kashii Yuusuke who has a strong sense of smell and is able to identify something just by its smell. Last but not least, Araki plays Oyama Rei who used to be a hacker and is a cyber information analyst now.

As there are many intense action scenes, the cast have suffered small injuries such as scratches, cuts and bruises. Oguri related that there was once when he was punched really hard by Araki during a practice session and joked that she had the guts to continue raining punches on the lead actor's face which led the latter to apologise for that. Araki said that she had to deliver her punches for real at Oguri's request or else it wouldn't look convincing on screen and she had no recollection that she had punched him.

Oguri and Nishijima who began action scene training more than 18 months ago, said that they had requested the producer to arrange for strong opponents in the drama. To their surprise, they got more than what they bargained for and were subjected to strong counterattacks such as shoulder tackles and elbow bats. The actors who are working together for the first time, were asked about their weak points. Nishijima said that Oguri is too absorbed in his work that he even goes for training during the filming off-days and learn how to use the gun during the filming breaks. On the other hand, Oguri said that Nishijima can't do without sugar in his body and would be weak like Anpanman with his face wet.
