Yoshine Kyoko will be starring in the new short film "Wasabi" which will be shown at Shibuya Euro Space from 26 August. The movie which is set in the streets of Hida-Takayama in Gifu Prefecture, was shot two years ago when Yoshine was 18 years old.
The movie has the caption of "Watashi no jinsei, amakunaissu" (My life is not sweet) and features Yoshine as a senior high school student Yamano Aoi who wants to take over her family business Yamano i.e. a sushi restaurant in order to protect her father who suffers from a heart problem. Co-stars include Tomita Yasuko who plays Aoi's mother Fusako and strongly objects to her decision, Shimojo Atomu, Sugimoto Ryoji, Nakada Yuichi, Fujisawa Shiho, Matsukado Yohei and Goto Wakana.
