Completion screening event of new movie "Tsuioku"

The completion screening event of new movie "Tsuioku" was held at Tokyo Kokusai Forum on 4 April which was attended by the director Furuhata Yasuo, cameraman Kimura Daisaku and cast members Okada Junichi, Oguri Shun, Emoto Tasuku, Nagasawa Masami, Kimura Fumino, Ando Sakura and Yoshioka Hidetaka. The movie which is based on an original story, is set in the Hokuriku region where three young boys reunite as adults through a murder case as the police officer investigating the case, the suspect and the victim. Okada plays the police officer in this movie while Oguri Shun plays the suspect in the case. The victim will be played by Emoto Tasuku. As the investigation progresses, the truth behind the case and the unspeakable past of the trio gradually come to light.

During the event, the cast members were praising Okada for being like a Yakushima cedar tree who is strong and has his feet firmly rooted to the ground. Upon hearing his co-stars' comments, Okada commented that they must be ganging up to make fun of him but Yoshioka said that they were just showing respect for him. As it has been 12 years since Okada and Oguri worked together, the latter said that he was happy to be able to collaborate with Okada again. Okada echoed his view that since they tend to take on leading roles, it has been difficult to meet up during all this while so he's happy for this movie giving them the opportunity to do so.

On the other hand, Ando who is currently pregnant and due to give birth in June, made her first appearance in public with her husband Emoto. As she made her way up and down the stage, her co-stars helped her to move around.

The movie will be shown in cinemas from 6 May.
