Domoto Tsuyoshi who was down with sudden hearing loss in his left ear since the end of last month, will be skipping KinKi Kids' 20th anniversary concerts due to take place this weekend on 15th and 16th July at Yokohama Stadium as he has not made a full recovery yet. According to Johnny's Jimusho which made the announcement on 13 July, he will only be appearing in prerecorded videos that will be played during the concert while his partner Domoto Koichi holds the fort for the concerts.
In the announcement, it was mentioned that Tsuyoshi had hoped to make a complete recovery as soon as possible in order to appear in front of the fans when he gets well. However, due to his current condition, it is deemed that he cannot be expected to deliver a perfect performance thus the difficult decision for him to skip the concerts had to be made. The agency also apologised to fans who had been eagerly anticipating these concerts and announced measures for fans who wished to seek a refund on their concert tickets.
Tsuyoshi was hospitalised between 27 June and 4 July and skipped two live appearances on TV music shows during this period due to his illness.
