KinKi Kids' Domoto Tsuyoshi who was hospitalised since 27 June for sudden hearing loss in his left year, had been discharged on 4 July according to his agency Johnny's Jimusho. However, he has yet to make a full recovery and will continue with outpatient treatment for the time being. As for when he can return to work such as the filming of NTV drama SP "Bokura no Yuuki Miman City 2017" which is due to be shown from 21 July, it will depend on consultations with his physician before he can get the clearance.
Due to his sudden illness, Tsuyoshi had already skipped two live TV performances i.e. "TV Tokyo Ongakusai 2017" on 28 June and "THE MUSIC DAY ~ Negai ga kanau natsu ~" on 1 July. TOKIO's Nagase Tomoya had stood in for him for the earlier programme while Arashi's Aiba Masaki and Matsumoto Jun appeared in his place for the latter.
KinKi Kids has a tight schedule this summer due to celebratory events for their 20th anniversary on 21 July. The duo has a 20th anniversary celebration concert on 15th and 16th July for the first time in 17 years at Yokohama Stadium and will have a 3-hour live radio broadcast "KinKi Kids Donnamonya!" on Bunka Housou from 10pm on the eve of their debut anniversary i.e. 20 July.
