B'z sings the theme song for TBS Winter 2017 drama "A LIFE ~ Itoshiki Hito ~"

B'z was revealed to be the artist singing the theme song for TBS Winter 2017 drama "A LIFE ~ Itoshiki Hito ~" starring Kimura Takuya during the ending credits of the first episode shown on 15 January. The song titled "Still Alive" was specially written for the drama and is the first time in 17 years since the duo wrote a theme song for Kimura's drama. The previous song was "Konya tsuki no mieru oka ni" for the 2000 TBS drama "Beautiful Life".

B'z revealed that they started producing the song after receiving the offer and had gone through a number of discussions with the staff before they finally decided on something which was satisfactory to everyone. As such, they hope that the song will be a positive and welcomed enhancement to the drama.

A life is expecting to have a 20% rating but its failed because they got 14.2% and did you know that Kimura Takuya is afraid to Yonekura Ryoko OMG 😂😂😂 because he is aware that they can't beat the rating of Doctor X! The staff of A Life also said that too! Lol! 😂😂😂 and the first episode of Kimura Takuya is so similar to doctor x 😂😂😂 even Ryoko's line " if you don't want operation you will die " 😂😂😂

Hi Anonymous, it would be great if you can refrain from posting the same comment multiple times. In addition, much as you may dislike a drama or actor, I think it will be better if we show respect for one another's preferences while sharing our views. It is quite clear that you do not like "A LIFE" or Kimura Takuya but there are people who feel otherwise and may feel offended by your comments. As such, to ensure that everyone will feel comfortable here, I really hope that such comments can be kept to a minimum as much as possible.

with many negative rumors surrounding Kimura after SMAP disbandment, I expected a worse outcome, but after watching the 1st episode of "A life", surprisingly I think it's quite good, I find the story reasonable while probably it mostly thanks to the wonderful acting of the other casts which make the role played by Kimura become quite convincing.

I was expecting a very low number right at the start, so 14.2% is really a good starter for Kimura, considering how much bashing and rumors about him for the last few months. Maybe having B'z in charge of the theme song also brings fortune for the drama.

Unlike your other poster(s) I like Kimutaka -- my problem is I can't stand B'z.
