Kimura Fumino will be starring in the new WOWOW drama "Suisho no Koudou - Satsujin Bunsekihan-" (The crystal's heartbeat - Murder analysis team) which is the second installment in the "Satsujin Bunsekihan" series following "Ishi no Mayu" shown last August. The new drama series which is based on the popular novel series "Keishicho Satsujin Bunsekihan" by Asami Kazushi, will consist of 5 episodes and begin its run from 13 November 2016 in the Sundays 10pm timeslot. In conjunction with the broadcast of the new drama, "Ishi no Mayu" will also get a rerun from 6pm on 6 November where all episodes will be shown at one go.
Kimura will reprise her role as Kisaragi Touko who is a police detective in the 11th section of the Metropolitan Police Department's 1st division. Her partner Takano Hideaki will be played by Aoki Munetaka again. While trying to solve a bizarre case, Kisaragi struggles to cope with the trauma she suffered during the arrest of the serial killer in "Ishi no Mayu" and makes a huge mistake at work. As such, she has to try to overcome her psychological issue and regain her confidence in work. Kimura commented that in this new series which is full of intense moments, viewers can also see a more human side to Touko. Even for those who had not watched "Ishi no Mayu" before, they will be able to enjoy "Suisho no Kodou" on its own.
Co-stars include Watanabe Ikkei, Kitami Toshiyuki, Fujimoto Takahiro and Koyanagi Yu.
