Takenaka Naoto and Tamayama Tetsuji will be starring in the new Netflix drama "Nobushi no Gurume" (The wandering samurai gourmet) which will be shown via the portal next spring in 190 countries. The drama which is based on the same-titled manga by Kusumi Masayuki who is also famous for his work "Kodoku no Gurume", will be shown under the English title "Samurai Gourmet". The manga, first serialised in 2013 as a web comic, has achieved sales of 135,000 copies to date and has also been translated to Korean.
Takenaka will play the role of Kasumi Takeshi who has reached retirement age and grown to like eating delicious food while Tamayama plays the wandering samurai who is the personification of Kasumi's inner world and says things that the normally cowardly Kasumi would not dare to say. Suzuki Honami will play Kasumi's wife in this drama.

Great show about retired man (Salaryman) and his inner Nobushi (Samuari character) that plays out in modern day Japanese eatery. It captures the essence of retired company man learning his new found freedom in a world of cuisine. I highly recommend this movie!
