SMAP will be releasing its first single of 2015 titled "Karei Naru Gyakushu" (The Magnificent Counterattack) which was written by Shiina Ringo and will be the theme song of FujiTV Winter 2015 drama "Zeni no Sensou" starring SMAP member Kusanagi Tsuyoshi. This is the second SMAP song written by Shiina since "Manatsu no Datsugokusha" (The Midsummer Jailbreaker) released in SMAP's 2012 album "GIFT of SMAP".
"Zeni no Sensou" is based on a 2007 South Korean drama which features Kusanagi as an elite securities trader who falls from grace to be a debt-ridden homeless man and has his engagement broken off due to his father chalking up huge debts and committing suicide. He then enters a consumer finance company which is actually in the illegal loansharking business and tries to get out of his financial problems while being tempted by the power of money. At the same time, he is caught in a love triangle with his ex-fiancee played by Kimura Fumino and his mentor's daughter played by Oshima Yuko. Watabe Atsuro plays the owner of the consumer finance company while Kis-My-Ft2's Tamamori Yuta plays Kusanagi's younger brother.
