The production press conference of NTV Winter 2018 drama "Momikeshite Fuyu ~ Wagaya no mondai nakatta koto ni ~" was held at Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaka, Tokyo, on 4 January which was attended by the cast members Yamada Ryosuke, Haru, Ozawa Yukiyoshi, Nakamura Baijaku and Chiba Yuudai. The drama begins its run from 13 January in the Saturdays 10pm timeslot.
Before the press conference, a screening of the first episode was held where many fans gathered to meet the cast who were dressed in hakama and kimono. Upon seeing the loud cheers from the fans, Yamada commented with a smile that it was a happy thing to be able to do this so early in the new year.
During the event, Chiba was praised by his co-stars for having such shiny hair and a good-looking new hairstyle. Chiba revealed smilingly that he pays attention to the care of his cuticles which led the audience to squeal that he was cute. In response, Chiba praised the audience for being cute instead which made Yamada comment that even as an idol, he can't say this kind of thing like Chiba and expressed admiration towards his co-star's fan service.
The cast members also wrote their new year aspirations in calligraphy scrolls where Yamada wrote that he wanted to show a new side of him in the new year through this drama. When asked about how he spent the New Year holidays, Yamada said that they resumed filming on 2 January but had mochi in the studio together so it was a nice start to the new year even though they were working.
