Completion screening event of new movie "Revenge Girl"

The completion screening event of new movie "Revenge Girl" was held at Marunouchi Picadilly on 7 December which was attended by the director Miki Kouichirou and cast members Kiritani Mirei, Suzuki Nobuyuki, Kiyohara Sho, Takeuchi Aisa and Satsukawa Aimi. The movie will be released in cinemas from 23 December and is based on the novel written by Kiyo Tomohide and Yoshida Erika which will be published this autumn. Kiritani plays the lead character Takaraishi Miki who is a 24-year-old OL. She graduated as the top student from University of Tokyo and had also won the Miss Campus title thus making her appear as the "perfect" girl with brains and looks. However, her biggest flaw is her ugly personality which she doesn't realise. One day, her boyfriend who aspires to become a politician dumps her thus leading to Miki resolve to become a politician and the Prime Minister one day so as to get back at him.

Kiritani revealed that they only finished filming the movie about a month ago on 29 October and she was very happy that the film was ready to be seen by everyone. As Kiritani appeared in almost all the scenes in the movie and the filming schedule was so tight, she admitted that she was so tired that there were times when she fell asleep on the sofa. There was once when she slept until her eyes were rolled back and Kiyohara happened to see that so she was very embarrassed by that. Kiyohara then joked that he should have taken a photo of her since she was so cute then. The actors and director were also full of praise for Kiritani's good looks and said that she looked good in all 47 costumes she wore in the movie.

When asked about her turning point in life, Kiritani said that it would have been her being scouted by her agency at the age of 15. In the summer of her first year in senior high school, she got a phone call on her mobile phone so it was a really strange way of being scouted and she did suspect that the call was rather suspicious. As for her memories of Christmas, she received a Super Famicon game machine from Santa Claus when she was in primary school so that marked the start of her gaming life to the extent that she spends her off days now playing games while cooped up at home. As for Suzuki, he said that he went to see Christmas illuminations with his then-girlfriend a long time ago and it was so crowded that they ended quarreling on the spot and broke up. As such, he never went to see Christmas illuminations again since then.
