This ultimately leads to the breakdown of the family and a sad romance between Naoko and Ji-won. Naoko's father Shuji and mother Sue are played by Sano and Takahata respectively while Naoko's younger sister Junko is played by Furuhata.
Kai who celebrates his birthday on the 14th, was presented with a surprise birthday balloon and expressed his joy at the present. When the host asked him to express his joy through a dance, Kai then displayed his dance moves on stage even though he was unsure initially about this sudden request. His co-star Kurashima praised him for dancing very well and that he was cute when he seemed embarrassed. Kai also revealed that since this is his first appearance in a Japanese drama, he had to learn the language from scratch on the set and was glad to be praised by the director for picking up Japanese quickly.
