Asano Yuuko announced through her official website on 11 January that she had gotten married to her husband who is about the same age as her at the end of last year. In her statement, Asano apologised for the sudden announcement and revealed that even though both of them are already in their 50s, they still decided to get married so as to take care and support each other in the years ahead. She pledged to continue working hard as an actress and called upon everyone to give their continued support and advice to her. As her husband is not a celebrity, she also asked for the media for their understanding that she will not be revealing further details about him.
