Yonekura Ryoko will be back in the TV Asahi Autumn 2016 drama "Doctor X 4 - Gekai Daimon Michiko ~" which will begin its run from October in the Thursdays 9pm. The story will continue from the latest SP which is due to be shown on 3 July.
In the new drama series, Yonekura will reprise her role as Daimon Michiko who will work at an university-affiliated hospital which has its reputation affected by medical mistakes and cover-ups. Besides the regular cast featuring Uchida Yuki, Kishibe Ittoku and Katsumura Masanobu, Nishida Toshiyuki will be the new director of the hospital and Daimon's biggest rival.
As Nishida was hospitalised in April and May due to cervical subluxation and cholecystitis, Yonekura, Kishibe and the producer met him at the hospital to discuss the drama ahead of the filming's start in August and also watched the DVD from the second series together so as to come up with points for improvement. Yonekura recounted that it was amusing that the doctors at the hospital made fun of her by calling her "Daimon-sensei" but she was also touched by the extent which the drama series had influenced the viewers.
