The production press conference of NHK BS premium drama "Boku no tsuma to kekkon shite kudasai" (Please marry my wife) was held on 30 April at NHK's headquarters which was attended by the cast Uchimura Teruyoshi, Kimura Tae and Izawa Masaki. The drama which will begin its run from 10 May in the Sundays 10pm timeslot, features Uchimura as an employee of a TV station's sales department who finds himself with just six months to live due to cancer and tries to find another man to marry his wife so that she can be taken care of after he dies. When asked to comment on how he felt about starring in a drama for the first time in 13 years, Uchimura said that this will probably be his signature work that will make him qualify as a full-fledged actor and this is the first time in his 50-years life that he is feeling very satisfied about his performance. Kimura commented that although it is a sad thing that her character's husband is dying, she hopes that this drama will bring some warmth and joy to the viewers. Isawa who plays their eldest son in the drama, made a surprise appearance at the event.
