The blue carpet event for new movie "Umimachi diary" was held on 11 May at Tokyo which was attended by the cast including Ayase Haruka, Nagasawa Masami, Kaho, Hirose Suzu and Lily Frankie. The movie which is due to be shown in cinemas from 13 June, is also taking part in the 68th Cannes International Film Festival's competition category.
The film which is based on the manga by Yoshida Akio, features three sisters played by Ayase, Nagasawa and Kaho who welcome their half-sister (Hirose) into their house at Kamakura after their father passes away and shows the first year of them living together until they bond as a true family.
During the event which was attended by about 500 fans, Ayase tripped on her lines but was totally unaware of where she had gone wrong even when the audience burst into laughter. She even asked her co-stars what she had done before Nagasawa jokingly answered that her elder sister (referring to Ayase) was so nervous that she had mispronounced her words.
