Premiere screening of new movie "Shirayuki Hime Satsujin Jiken"

The premiere screening of new movie "Shirayuki Hime Satsujin Jiken" was held on 26 February which was attended by the cast Inoue Mao, Ayano Go, Renbutsu Misako, Nanao, Kanjiya Shihori, Kaneko Nobuaki and the director Nakamura Yoshihiro. The movie which will be shown in cinemas from 29 March and is based on a novel by Minato Kanae, features Inoue as a plain-looking office lady Shirono Miki who unwittingly becomes the suspect in the murder case of her beautiful colleague Miki Noriko (Nanao) and Akaboshi Yuji (Ayano), the director of a variety show, sets out to find out what type of person Shirono is and if she is indeed the murderer of Miki. However, with each testimony he gets from the people around Shirono, things get more confusing as rumours and truth get entangled together.

Inoue commented that when she got the offer to star in the movie at first, she thought she was going to take on the role of Miki Noriko and apologised for being "shameless" to think this way (because Miki is supposed to be a beauty in the movie while Shirono is a plain Jane). Once she finished reading the novel, she found that it was less stressful to play the plain Jane rather than the beauty so she accepted the fact that she was not picked for the beauty role. On the other hand, Nanao who is in her first movie and yet had to be murdered from the start, said that she was really nervous about working with her co-stars.

Filming took place last summer in Nagano Prefecture and often lasted late into the nights. Inoue revealed that she was amazed that Nanao could still eat despite being covered in dirt due to the filming and she had such a huge appetite. In return, Nanao revealed that Inoue was on the verge of dozing off while they were filming a 4.5 hour variety show a few days ago and had to be woken up by Nanao before anyone noticed it.
