British singer Sarah Brightman will be singing the theme song for the new movie "Kamisama no Karte 2" staring Arashi's Sakurai Sho which is due to be shown from 21 March next year. Although Brightman had sung the song "Time to say goodbye" for another Japanese movie "Amalfi Megami no Houshuu" in 2009, this will be the first original song written specially for a Japanese movie that she will be singing. The song titled "Kamisama no Karte ~ Keep the light" is a classic number composed by visually-impaired pianist Tsujii Nobuyuki and the lyrics written by the original novel's author Natsukawa Sousuke in Japanese which were then translated into English. The recording of the theme song is set to take place in London during the end of January 2014.
