The completion screening of NHK drama "Last Dinner" was held on 15 February at NHK Broadcasting Centre which was attended by Hirahara Ayaka, Tanaka Rena and one of the scriptwriters Oomori Mika. Tanaka appears in episode 1 while Hirahara plays a singer at the restaurant where the couples in each of the eight episodes have their last dinner together. The drama which talks about people who love each other but cannot be together due to various reasons, begins its run from 9 March at 11.15pm on Saturdays.
Filming was done primarily at an abandoned junior high school's stadium where the restaurant was set up. Hirahara had to sing cover versions of hit songs such as MISIA's "Everything", Oda Kazumasa's "Tashika na koto" in order to match the theme of each episode. There were times when Hirahara was crying while singing because she was so touched by the story. She commented that she looks forward to taking part in this drama again if there's a sequel in future.
