Amuro Namie will be singing the theme song for FujiTV Spring 2016 drama "Boku no Yabai Tsuma" which will begin its run from 19 April in the Tuesdays 10pm timeslot. The first episode will be shown from 9pm.
The song titled "Mint" which will be released as a single on 18 May, is a dance rock number talking about the love towards a man from the viewpoint of a woman who goes through various emotions of joy, insecurity and regret etc. This is meant to match the theme of the drama where Ito Hideaki plays a husband who finds that his wife is hiding many frightening secrets from him when she suddenly disappears without a trace.
This song will be Amuro's 12th drama theme song to date and will determine if she can renew her record of having the most number (21) of Top 10 Oricon singles for the longest number of years (20 consecutive years from 1995 to 2015).
