A special screening of FujiTV summer drama "Kyuumei Byoutou 24 Ji 5" starring Matsushima Nanako was held at Cinem@rt Roppongi on 15 August which was attended by cast members Ashina Sei, Kashiwabara Shuji, Kojima Kazuya and Okamoto Rei. Episodes 7 and 8 which are due to be shown on 20 Aug and 27 Aug were screened during the event. In episode 6, Kaede's (Matsushima) 10-year-old nephew met with an accident at a river stream where his heart stopped for a while and was sent to the emergency centre at the hospital she works in. Episodes 7 and 8 will feature Kaede and her team fighting to save the little boy but are faced with the dilemma of pressing on with the treatment or letting him go without suffering any further and using his organs to save other people. As such, these two episodes are said to be the most tear-inducing ones in the entire series.
Before the screening, the cast held a talk show with the audience where Ashina said that organ transplant is a very difficult topic and through this drama, she had come to see the emotions felt by various parties. Kashiwabara also commented that although doctors have to recommend organ transplants to the family members of dying patients in order to save many other people, this drama had also taught him that if the same decision had to be made by the doctors themselves for their own family members, there would be various issues to consider and that it won't be an easy decision to make. The cast members stayed during the screening and revealed after it that they were crying even though they thought they wouldn't.
