Iseya Yusuke & Kamiki Ryunosuke to join the cast of "Rurouni Kenshin" movies

Iseya Yusuke and Kamiki Ryunosuke will be joining the cast lineup of the upcoming "Rurouni Kenshin" movies where Iseya will play the character Shinomori Aoshi while Kamiki will be Seta Sojiro, Shishio Makoto's subordinate (Fujiwara Tatsuya). As both characters are great swordsmen, there will be many action scenes featuring them in the 2-parter sequel.

Iseya commented that although he knows that it will be tough to take on the action scenes, he feels that the role of Shinomori Aoshi will help him challenge his boundaries as an actor and is thankful for the opportunity. On the other hand, Kamiki said that he feels honoured about taking on the role of Seta Sojiro and hopes that he won't disappoint fans of the original manga who loves this character. However, he hopes to inject a bit of originality into his portrayal of the role and asked the fans to look forward to his performance.

Besides Iseya and Kamiki, other new additions to the cast include THE BOOM's Miyazawa Kazufumi who plays Okubo Toshimichi, Ozawa Yukiyoshi who plays Ito Hirofumi, Oyagi Kaito who plays Myojin Yahiko, Takahashi Mary Jun who plays Komagata Yumi and Miura Ryosuke who plays Sawagejo Cho.

The Rurouni Kenshin movies will be screened in Japan during summer 2014 consecutively.
