Nakayama Miho has admitted to being in divorce negotiations with her writer-singer husband Tsuji Hitonari as reported in the 3 April issue of Shukan Bunshun. According to the magazine, its reporters went to interview Nakayama at her residence in Paris, France, on 30 March and she revealed that they are indeed in the midst of discussing divorce.
The marital problem between Nakayama and Tsuji first surfaced on 27 March when there was talk about them about to go their separate ways. A few days later, Nakayama posted on her Twitter that there is no better thing to do than to live your life seriously and she is prepared to accept whatever comes which hinted that the rumours were true. During the interview with the Shukan Bunshun reporters, Nakayama confirmed one of the reasons why their marriage had problems was due to Tsuji beginning to adopt a more feminine appearance e.g. keeping his hair long. However, she did not go into details regarding the other reasons. As for the custody of their son, Nakayama said that this is a serious issue and hinted that she would want to take care of the child and continue to live with him in Paris.
On the other hand, Tsuji who is in Japan for a play he wrote and produced, commented via Twitter on 30 March that he hopes to continue his life with his family as normal for at least the next 10 years which seemed to be in contrast with what Nakayama had in mind.
