Mukai Osamu will be starring in his first Matsumoto Seicho drama adaptation when he appears in the lead role of FujiTV's 55th anniversary drama SP "Shi no Hassou" (Delivery of Death) which is due to be shown at 9pm on 30 May. The drama which is based on the same-titled novel published in 1961, is the first adaptation for this novel and has the time setting changed to the modern day where Mukai plays the role of a magazine reporter chasing after the truth behind the case of a corpse transported from Tokyo to Iwate in the trunk of a car. Mukai commented that it was a tough filming process because he had many lines and there were many pieces of information which had to be put together in order for the truth to be revealed so he had to act in a way which viewers can understand the links between these parts. Co-stars include Higa Manami and Terao Akira.
